Shaving is a part and parcel of every day life. Although some people find it a tedious job, shaving has to be done for better grooming prospects of a man.
How does one shave?
Shaving may seem to be a simple procedure, yet when you go about shaving you may find it to be a tough job. If you are interested in having a better and a smoother shave follow the guidelines outlined:
Wash the face and beard with Luke warm water:
For having a better and a smoother shave one must wash one’s face with luke warm water first. Warm water can help in opening the pores of the skin which makes it easier for a person to shave. Closed pores increase the chances of cuts and bruises.
Use a moisturised shaving gel:
There are many gels available in the market. Use a standard one that can help in having a smoother shave. Make a good lather with the shaving gel and apply it on the wet beard. Once the lather is spread well all over the beard it is time to go for the shave.
Choosing a better razor:
One has to be careful in choosing the right razor. Choose a razor according to the thickness of the hair on the beard. Once you get hold of the right razor for you, the process of shaving begins.
Shave in the direction of hair growth:
Sometimes people shave unevenly which can make shaving really confusing. One has to keep a flow in the direction of shaving. Shave in the direction of the hair growth.
Go for the downward strokes with the razor near the checks and the jaw line, maintain the same flow towards the upper part of the neck.
Wash the face with cold water:
Once you are done with the process of shaving wash the face with cold water. This helps in closing the pores and stops any blood oozing out due to cuts and bruises.
