Improve Digestive System

The digestive system consists of a group of glands, hormones and organs which are situated inside the abdominal cavity. Rocking and Rolling: This exercise is a nurturing practise which is very beneficial when we want to overcome our digestive system problems and which you can do yourself. Firstly, you start this exercise in a seated position. Secondly, you should bent your knees. After this, bring your knees close to your chest and then wrap your arms around of your legs. Tuck your head into and slowly roll backwards. Your legs should come over your head. Do rocking and rolling exercise for 16 repetitions.

Extended Side Stretch: This is a next exercise which you can do on your own and which should improve your digestive system. Commonly known as utthita parsvakonasana, is one of the pose performed in yoga to strengthen and improve digestion. Stand in Tadasana position, spread your legs sideways 4 feet. Then you should raise your arms sideways at level of your shoulders. Take a deep inhalation. Move your right foot toward the right side and precisely bend your right knee. Put your hand on the floor next to the foot and then take the left arm up and to the right. You should stretch it up. Open your chest and leave this pose for about 30 seconds. After this do the same on the other side.

Intestinal Massage: When you feel this pain related to digestive problems, definitely you should try an intestinal massage. You can do it in a very easy way and the results might be really good. While this exercise you should lay down on your back. Secondly, you should bent your knees when your are recumbent. Start massaging your abdomen. The motions ought to be circular and move from the bottom part of your rib cage to the top and back. Do it in a spiral motion till you touch your belly button. While this self-intestinal massage breathe deeply and relax as well.

Three Parts of the Body Stretch: This practise is well known among yoga classes. The proper name is trianga mukhaikapada paschimottanasana and as same as said Extended side stretch practise comes from yoga. Three parts of the body stretch is a great tool to assist your digestion. It will improve your digestive system according to many yoga masters. You should do it in kneeling position. To take this position you ought to seat on your heels. Now you can start the exercise. Stretch your both arms up and then move then forward toward your left foot. You should hold this position for about 40 to 60 seconds. When you do this than repeat the same on the other side.
